Banana Sherbet

This is fantastic drink on a hot day. Consists bananas, corn syrup, lemon, egg white and milk.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed bananas
  • 7 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 cups milk or 1 cup evaporated milk and 1 cup water

Directions

  1. 1. Press bananas through a coarse sieve; measure; add lemon juice, sugar, corn syrup and salt.
  2. 2. Fold stiffly beaten egg white into banana mixture. Stir slowly into milk. Freeze in refrigerator tray.
  3. 3. Beat thoroughly when freezing begins and again just before mixture becomes firm.
