1.If you have an egg-pricker prick the wider end of the eggs.
2.Place in a saucepan just large enough to hold the eggs in a single layer.
3.Add just enough cold water to cover them. Put on a lid and heat until boiling.
4.As soon as the water is bubbling, start to time the eggs. Cook them for 3 1/2 minutes, then immediately lift the eggs out of the water with a draining spoon and place in egg cups.
5.Tap the tops gently with a spoon to prevent further cooking.
