  • 1 green onion, roughly chopped

  1. 1. The above ingredient list is just an example of a bouquet garni. Plan your own combination of herbs and spices or make a combination out of what is available in your kitchen.
  2. 2. To make the sachet simply place the herbs in a piece of cheesecloth; lift up the corners and tie the bag closed with butcher's twine.
  3. 3. The advantage of tieing the herbs in cheesecloth is that you can remove them without leaving any debris (especially with herbs like rosemary). All you leave in what you are cooking is the flavors.
