This is a brilliant variation on classic meringue, made with brown sugar and egg yolks.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. 1. Beat egg whites until frothy. Add sugar gradually and beat until stiff.
  2. 2. Add vanilla and pile on pie. Bake in 350°F. Oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Topping for 1 (8-inch) pie.
