Directions
- 1. Place the butter, sugar, water, glucose, and molasses in a large saucepan and heat slowly until dissolved.
- 2. Then cook, stirring constantly, to 254°, or to the hard-ball stage Pour into a buttered pan.
- 3. Turn the corners and sides into the middle of the batch with a buttered knife, to cool the candy equally and keep it soft.
- 4. Pull lightly for about 10 minutes, then pull out in strips and cut. Wrap in waxed paper.
- 5. Sprinkle nuts over hot sirup in pan and mix thoroughly through candy when it is pulled.
