Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 1/4 cups sifted flour
  • 2 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups butter milk
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

  1. 1. Beat eggs, add sugar and mix well.
  2. 2. Sift flour, soda and salt together and add alternately with butter milk to egg mixture. Add nuts.
  3. 3. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake in slow oven (325 F) 1 hour.
