A creamy dessert typically made from milk, gelatin and pecans.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
  • 4 teaspoons cold water
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecan meats
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Directions

  1. 1. Soften gelatin in water 5 minutes. Scald milk over boiling water, add softened gelatin and stir until dissolved. Chill.
  2. 2. Brown pecan meats in butter and cool. Beat milk very stiff.
  3. 3. Fold in nut meats, sugar and vanilla. Freeze until firm.
