Butter Pecan Sherbet

It is a traditional cold drink prepared with pecan and butter.
 

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1/2 cup pecan meats, chopped

Directions

  1. 1. Blend milk and melted butter thoroughly.
  2. 2. Add water, vanilla and salt. Chill. Fold egg whites into chilled mixture.
  3. 3. Pour into freezing tray of refrigerator and freeze.
  4. 4. When about half frozen scrape mixture from sides and bottom of tray, beat until smooth but not melted, add pecans and freeze until firm.
