A cheese custard recipe made of Swiss cheese and eggs.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs

Directions

  1. 1. Add milk, seasoning and cheese to slightly beaten eggs.
  2. 2. Turn the mixture into greased baking dish, place in a pan of hot water and bake in moderate oven (350°F.) 25 to 30 minutes or until firm.
  3. 3. Remove from oven; let stand 3 minutes and unmold on a platter.
  4. 4. Serve with Tomato Sauce.
  5. 5. Place slices of tomato, ham or cooked bacon in bottom of baking dish before adding custard.
