The rich flavor and fine texture of this chocolate cream sauce will absolutely delight you. Use it on ice cream or any dessert you want to kick up the flavor on.
 

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon grand marnier (or orange juice)

Directions

  1. 1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces for easier melting, place in a heat proof bowl; set aside.
  2. 2. Combine the cream, sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan and place over low heat. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
  3. 3. Remove from heat and pour immediately over the chocolate. Let stand until the chocolate has melted then stir until smooth and creamy.
  4. 4. Stir in the vanilla extract and Grand Marnier.
  5. 5. Store the sauce in the refrigerator in a tightly covered container for up to two weeks. Reheat over simmering water before serving.
