From simple hot cocoa you can produce homemade chocolate syrup. Tastes great on ice cream and a ton of other desserts.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. 1. Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Add water, and mix until smooth.
  2. 2. Bring this mixture to a boil. Allow it to boil for one minute but be careful it doesn't boil over.
  3. 3. Remove from heat. When it has cooled add the vanilla and stir to combine.
