Stifado is a wonderful mix of flavours and is made in many Greek and Cypriot restaurants. Stifado itself is a stew and can actually be made with other types of meats.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil

- 2 lbs. stewing beef, cut into 1-inch cubes

- 3 large onions, peeled and diced

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

- 1- 1/2 cups tomato sauce

- 1 teaspoon white sugar

- 1 bay leaf

- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
