This egg custard recipe will still be around for generations to come because it is an easy and taste filled dessert that doesn't cost much to make.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (or substitute)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare two custard cups with cooking spray.
  2. 2. Lightly beat the egg and yolk. Add the cream, sugar, vanilla and salt.
  3. 3. Pour into the prepared custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  4. 4. Set in a pan containing 1/2 to one inch of hot water. Bake for 35 minutes or until set.
