Wally Amos singlehandedly turned a hobby into big business. With this easy cookies recipe you can turn out some famous chocolate chip delights of your own.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of softened margarine
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package of chocolate chips
  • 2 cups raisins

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. 2. Whisk together margarine, eggs, vanilla, sugars, water and baking soda.
  3. 3. Gradually add the flour, salt and chocolate, mixing thoroughly. Add the raisins last and mix well.
  4. 4. Place cookie size portions on a cookie sheet.
  5. 5. Bake 8 minutes (some ovens vary).
