Slice up some artisan bread and serve it with a flavored butter platter; guaranteed to brighten up a family breakfast or a pot luck.
 

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon butter:
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon - blend together well
  • Orange butter:
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 teaspoon orange rind
  • 1/8 teaspoon mace (or nutmeg, or allspice)
  • Strawberry butter:
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 8 fresh strawberries, chopped fine
  • Powdered sugar to taste
  • Honey pecan butter:
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup pecans, finely chopped

Directions

  1. 1. Make the individual butters by softening the butter in the microwave and then mixing in the other ingredients.
  2. 2. Transfer the flavored butter to a mold, like a greased coffee cup for example, then chill it until it firms up again.
  3. 3. Remove it from the mold and place it on a serving platter with the other flavored butters.
