Butterscotch, pretzels and little fish crackers come together to form ooey (sometimes gooey) treats. Its a perfect project for little helpers in the kitchen.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butterscotch flavored chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 package (6 ounces) fish shaped crackers, original flavor (about 3 1/2 cups)
  • 1 cup broken pretzel sticks

Directions

  1. 1. Grease cookie sheet.
  2. 2. Melt butterscotch chips and shortening in three quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth.
  3. 3. Remove from heat, stir in crackers and pretzels until well coated.
  4. 4. Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Let stand about one hour or until firm.
  5. 5. Carefully remove from cookie sheet.
