If you're going to try and Copy Cat a cookie recipe why not one of the best, Pepperidge Farms makes wonderfully good products, besides, any recipe that starts with 1 pound of butter can't be all bad.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 pound butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 12 ounces. packages semi sweet choc. chips
  • 3 cups chopped macadamia nuts

Directions

  1. 1. Using a mixer, cream butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  2. 2. In a different bowl, sift together the sugars, baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour.
  3. 3. Combine the dry mixture with the egg/butter mixture.
  4. 4. Add the chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. 5. Shape into 1 inch balls, place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 11 min.
