Served over the pasta of your choice, this prosciutto ham and tomato sauce is a wonderful alternate to marinara. Heat up the garlic bread, break out the red wine and have a feast.
Ingredients
- 4 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto, diced

- 1 shallot, chopped

- 1/4 cup olive oil

- 1 can (35 ounces) whole tomatoes

- 1 teaspoon basil

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Red pepper flakes to taste

- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced

- Shredded parmesan cheese
