Sometimes called friendship tea, Southerners will recognize this recipe, or variations of it, right away. In fact, Reese Witherspoon (a Tennessee native) was once featured with it in Good Housekeeping Magazine.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup instant tea powder
  • 1 cup sweetened lemonade powder
  • 1 cup tang
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions

  1. 1. Combine all of the ingredients and mix well.
  2. 2. If you want to be authentic, transfer the powder to a large mason jar, cover with a piece of fabric and tie up with a piece of ribbon.
  3. 3. To serve put a couple of teaspoons of the mix in a mug (after a time or two you'll know how strong you like it); fill the cup with boiling water and stir to dissolve the powder.
