Here's a strawberry salad that is frozen into a carton. Just slice and serve over a bed of greens as a salad or drizzle with a sauce and serve it for dessert.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 16 ounces sliced frozen strawberries, partially thawed
  • 1 cup dry cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

  1. 1. Beat sour cream with rotary beater until slightly thicker.
  2. 2. Fold in remaining ingredients and spoon into two one pint cartons. Place in freezer.
  3. 3. To thaw, place carton in refrigerator about one hour before serving time or thaw at room temperature a few minutes.
  4. 4. Each carton yields 6 slices
