Highly flavorful, this Chinese style vegetarian fried rice makes a great side dish for any meal.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 thinly sliced onion
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 diced carrots
  • 8 chopped green beans
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced cabbage
  • 1 diced dried pepper
  • 4 diced baby corn ears
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon white pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ajinomoto (msg)
  • Green onion, sliced or diced, for garnish

Directions

  1. 1. In a pan bring oil to heat; add onion and garlic paste; and sautee until onions are translucent.
  2. 2. Add carrots, green beans, cabbage, diced pepper and baby corn ears then continue cooking for 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Add salt and rice and mix well.
  4. 4. Add soy sauce, vinegar, pepper powder and aginomoto. Mix well and remove from heat.
  5. 5. Garnish with green onion and serve hot.
